This VW Lower Door Hinge is compatible with 1962-1977 Beetles. This Lower Door Hinge fits the left (driver) side.

Requires 3 Door Hinge to Body Screws at door pillar mount and 3 Door Hinge to Body Screws at door mount (Screws not inlcuded). New door hinges are built to have the leverage of a 30 something inch long door attached to it. Without the leverage, the hinges are extremely tight. Attach a door to it, they become normal right quick.

Note: All '61 and earlier Beetles (and some early '62 models) used a 4-bolt door hinge. This unit is not a direct fit for '56-61 Beetles, but can be modified to work by drilling a fourth hole in the hinge.

These work really well. These are going to seem extremely tight when first received. This is due to the lack of leverage that the door provides. Once attached to a door these work and feel like original.
