I have been driving VWs since I was 16 years old (I am currently 71 years of age). My first VW was a 1966 Karmann Ghia and have owned a 1970 Beetle, 1971 Beetle, 1972 VW 411, 1978 Dasher, 1989 Jetta GLI, 1997 Passat TDI, 1988 Jetta, 2015 Jetta GLI, 2018 Passat GT, 2020 Jetta SEL. I currently own the 2018 Passat GT, 2023 Taos SEL, and the 1974 Super Beetle.

My 1974 Super Beetle has matching numbers since it was new. It still has the original A/C (DPD). I found this Beetle in Baton Rouge and was impressed with its originality. I have put the Beetle in several car shows and have taken first place. The Beetle has never been wrecked and I have kept it original except for the 8 Spoke Polished Chrome wheels. It was repainted 15 years ago with Ralleye Yellow (original color) with three clear coats. I actually built a parking place for the Beetle to keep it out of the weather. It is a very nice Beetle!
