About Our 1955 VW Bus Wheels & Tires

We offer a large selection of Volkswagen Wheels, Tires, Hubcaps, and Wheel hardware for the Air-Cooled VW Bus. We feature a selection of custom wheels, precision made by EMPI, the leading VW Wheel manufacturer.

The bolt pattern is the key identifier for finding the proper fitment for putting on aftermarket or other new wheels on your Volkswagen. The "bolt pattern" refers to the number of lug holes in the wheel and the distance between them. The 1955 VW Bus came stock with a 5 x 205 wheel pattern.

1955 VW Bus Stock Wheels

The Wide 5 5x205 bolt pattern came stock on the early VW Bus. We offer our stock VW wheels in chrome, silver, and polished aluminum finishes. These wheels accept stock style hubcaps and use stock lug bolts.

The 5x112 5 lug bolt pattern came stock on the later VW Bus. We offer our stock VW wheels in chrome, silver, and polished aluminum finishes. These wheels accept stock style hubcaps and use stock lug bolts.

Measure from back of one hole across pattern to center of second hole. Always check your bolt pattern before placing an order to ensure the correct fit wheels for your car.

1955 VW Bus Tires

VW Bus came stock with 14" tires. We do not carry the orignal 14" size tires. Our tires are 15". Some VW Bus owners end up switching to the 15" wheels and tires to have more flexibility with custom wheel styles.
