1972 VW Super Beetle Champion

On February 17, 1972, the Volkswagen Beetle officially became the biggest selling car of all time (15,007,034 Units) taking over the mantle from Ford’s legendary Model T. In honor of this achievement, Volkswagen built the 1972 Super Beetle Champion.

Only 1,000 limited edition examples were produced by Volkswagen AG at the Emden, Germany factory. The nickname for the car, “Baja Bug”, came from the Baja Off-Road Races success from 1967-1971 by Volkswagen this edition garnered admiration for its unique heritage.Some of the options fitted on the car include:

- Special Glove Box Medallion

- Air Conditioning as Dealer Option

This particular car was a daily driver logged over 250,000 miles over 52 years of ownership by the same owner.
