Replace worn out seals with these brand new German Cork Style VW Valve Cover seals. Sold as a pair to fit 1700cc-2000cc Type 2 Bus engines. Alternate Part Number: 021101481



Beginner Notes:

The VW Valve Gaskets are a good thing to have handy. VWs commonly leak oil and the valve cover gaskets are a major culprit. Valves should be adjusted EVERY 3000 miles on NON-HYDRAULIC lifter engines so have a set of gaskets ready!

Leaking valve covers are very common on VW engines. Completely clean the valve cover and heat seating area before installing new gaskets. Put a light coat of grease or Ultra Copper High Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker on both sides of the gasket before installing.

Lay the gasket in the valve cover, the set the valve cover on the head and clip the bale on to hold the valve cover in place. Then tap or slide the valve cover up to make sure the bottom edge is seated against the head.
