This rebuild kit is designed for use with Solex 34 PDSIT carburetors, which were used on 1972 to 1974 Volkswagen Type 2 (Bus) models. The kit includes all gaskets and seals needed for a partial rebuild, and comes with the needle valve and accelerator pump diaphragm. One kit is required for each carburetor (two per car).

Beginner Tips:

"Rebuilding" a VW carb isn't necessarily what it sounds like. Most of the time it's just replacing the various gaskets and o-rings. Pay close attention to the idle and air screws as to their current position. It's easiest to screw them in (bottom them out, but not TIGHTLY) writing down how many turns each screw took. Once a new o-ring is installed, bottom the screw out again. Then back it off the same mount of turns. This will give you a good "baseline" when it comes to tuning the carb.
