Shipping & Returns

The VW Cross Shaft (or clutch operating fork) installs into the bell housing of the transaxle and is the shaft that actuates the Clutch Release Bearing. This cross shaft fits 1976 through 1979 Type 2 Bus Models, 1980 through 1991 Vanagons and 1986 through 1991 Syncros.

Beginner Tips:

The VW Cross Shaft is the shaft that holds and moves the throw out bearing in the manual transmission. The shaft arms can wear out at the point of contact at the throw out bearing. Occasionally the welds from the arms to the shaft can fail.
