Brand New Replacement left and right side floor pans come complete with seat mounts and jack mounts. These are complete length & width floor pan halves and are designed to fit 1973 through 1977 VW Standard Beetles and 1973 through 1979 VW Super Beetles. Please note that purchasing front and rear patch sections will not make a complete floor pan.
The 1973-1979 VW floor pans feature dual seat rails and the center hump.
The seat hump, rear crossmember and jack support may not be welded to the floor pan. We and many other floor pan installers recommend using the original crossmember, this actually saves time during the installation as the crossmember does not have to be removed from the replacement pan. We cover the process in our floor pan installtion video.
The center hump is included but may not be welded on at time of shipping as the manufacturer tries to consolidate size of package when shipping. This is an easy fix as installing floor pans requires welding on the tunnel side. Installation will require cutting and welding inner edge to chassis - just like original factory floor pans. Outer edge bolts to heat channel.
A replacement pan to body seal and floor pan hardware are recommended whenever installing new floor pans. We also recommend replacing the seat rail bushings when installing new floor pans.
If your pans are beyond repair, don't waste your time with a cheap fiberglass patch, rivited in piece of sheet metal or worse, a piece of wood. Also note that if the pan is rusted through below the battery or opposite side, replacement rear quarter pans are not the correct shape for 1973 and later Beetles. Installing new floor pans can be done with the body on the chassis but will require trimming and of course welding for proper installation.
