VW Engine Pulley Shims AdjustmentsWhen installing pulley shims you must use 10 shims total to achieve proper spacing. Shims can be moved from either inside or outside.

Inside: Moving shims inside spaces pulley halves and loosens belt.

Outside: Moving shims outside closes halves together and tightens belt.
