VW Stock Style Shifter Kit - Straight - Late Models

Includes straight shift rod, boot, shift knob, base, spring, and plate
Compatible with slotted and non-slotted shift rods
Does not include an alignment pin for versatile fitment

This stock style shifter kit includes a straight shift rod, boot, shift knob, base, spring and plate. This shifter does not have an alignment pin so it can be used in Type 1 and 3 model VWs with non-slotted or slotted shift rods.

1971-1979 VW Super Beetle
1968-1974 VW Karmann Ghia
1968-1973 VW Type 3
1973-1974 VW Thing

If your shift rod has a slot you can use either a slotted or un-slotted shifter. Keep in mind though that a shifter without an alignment pin will spin. This is OK for straight shifters, but not ideal for angled shifters. If your shift rod is un-slotted, you can ONLY use a shifter that does not have an alignment pin.
