Engle FK-10 - VW Performance Camshaft - For 1.4 or 1.5 Rockers

The Engle FK-10 Cam is step up from the FK-8, making it a great all around cam for in the right engine. It must be used with high ratio, 1.4 or 1.5:1 rockers. Using ratio rockers removes a lot of the stress off of the valve train. Getting over .500" of lift with smaller ratio rockers would be next to impossible with stock lifters. The FK-10 cam pulls well from about 3500RPM to 7500 RPM and works best in 2000cc and larger engines. As this cam will lift .539", cylinder heads that can support that much flow will make the most out of the FK-10 cam along with carbureting accordingly. Dual, 2 barrel carbs are required and expect a rought than stock idle.

To wrap it up, this is a great cam for 2000cc and larger engines used in "street and strip" applications. Good heads and dual 40/44 IDFs or HPMX carburetors or even larger are requirements. When using it with high ratio rockers it provides a wide power band and useable power. The lobe design along offers a quieter drivetrain than cams designed for 1.1 or 1.25:1 rockers. Using the FK-10 came with 1.4 or 1.5 rockers allows for more performance, less wear and longer engine life!

All Type 1 performance cams are 3 Bolt, "early style" or "flat cams" and fit Type 1,2 & 3, 1200cc(40hp) to 1600cc based engines. The cam requires a separately sold, bolt on cam gear and must be used with a "flat cam" style oil pump.
