23.81mm(15/16")Internal Diameter (Bore Size) Dual Circuit Master Cylinder

The 1971 through 1979 Type 2 Bus Brake Master Cylinder is a high quality, German made replacement unit to ensure safe stops every time. The master cylinder must be used with a power brake servo. 1971 and 1972 Bus models may need to use a 1973 through 1979 lower brake fluid reservoir. Check the input port angle of the current reservoir. The dual circuits on the master cylinder have separate chambers for the front and rear brakes. The brake fluid reservoir, and brake light switches are sold separately and available in the additional options tab.

Please Note: A power brake bleeder is recommended when bleeding the brakes after installing a new master cylinder. This will ensure that air is fully removed from the brake system.

A German brake component comes from a German manufacturing company that may have numerous factories around the globe. Regardless of where the part is made, if it is labeled as a German part, it comes from a German company that has manufactured that component at a facility that is owned by them, and it is made to their high standards of quality and fitment.
