Chrome Front Bumper for 1968-1972 VW Bus

Upgrade or replace the front bumper on your 1968-1972 VW bus with our chrome, 3 piece bumper. This bumper comes with a triple chrome finish and is nickel plated 3 times for a bright, quality finish that will last if maintained properly. The bumper bolts and bumper step pads are sold separately.

If the chrome finish is not your thing, check out we also offer a paintable 1968-1972 VW Bus bumper. Please note that the paintable bumper comes with a black, rust-preventing finish that must be removed prior to paining or powdercoating.



Chrome Maintenance and What to Expect:

We put this notice on all chrome products, regardless of manufacturer, or origin.

Chrome plating is an electro-plating process that is highly regulated due to the environmental impacts of the chemicals, metals, and the exhaust gasses released during the process.

We highly recommend maintaining any chrome on your vehicle by applying a car wax or detailing spray on a regular basis

Here are some additional tips:

  • Hubcaps - Spray paint the inside with paint or rust inhibitor, wax chrome finish regularly
  • Bumpers - Spray paint the inside with paint or rust inhibitor, wax chrome finish regularly
  • Exterior Mirrors - Lightly wax chrome finish regularly
  • Exterior Chrome Trim - Lightly wax chrome finish regularly

If you properly maintain the chrome and keep your car stored in a dry, non-salty-air environment, the chrome will last.
