The wait is over! We are proud to introduce EMPI's new 4 Piston Front brake kit featuring Wilwood Calipers and Zero Offset Forged 2 1/2" drop spindles. These drop spindles are made for use with stock shocks. This complete kit includes high-performance Wilwood 4-piston calipers, high-performance Wilwood brake pads, forged zero offset drop spindles, zinc-plated cross-drilled and slotted brake rotors, DOT-approved stainless steel brake lines, SKF bearings, Elring seals, dust caps, and caliper bolts.

This kit is also available with black calipers (P/N:22-6160-B) or with silver calipers (P/N: 22-6160-0).

Installation Notes

Low profile (shorter) tires must be used when installing drop spindles. We offer 145R15 tires or 135R15 tires that will fit with drop spindles.
Drop ppindles can not be used on Super Beetles.
All brake parts must be thoroughly cleaned, and disc brake grease should be applied to all brake pad contact surfaces to prevent squeaks and vibrations.
The stock master cylinder can be used with front disc brakes. However, if you are converting to 4 wheel disc brakes, you must install a large bore master cylinder.
This kit includes stainless steel braided brake hoses. It is recommended to change all the other brake hoses to stainless steel braided units as well.
