This 2 Tip GT Muffler fits both Standard Beetles, Super Beetles, and Karmann Ghias with 1300-1600cc based engines. This exhaust can be used with J-Tubes or it can be modified to retain stock heater box (see the Tech-Tips tab for further explanation). The 2 exhaust tips are chrome plated for good looks and exit out of the stock apron cut outs which allows great ground clearance for lowered cars. Resonated tail pipes sound similar to a stock muffler for those wanting to retain the classic VW sound. Two cylinder head gaskets and two heat riser gaskets are included with the exhaust system.

New Tail Pipe Clamps Recommended

Whenever replacing or removing an exhaust or muffler, we recommend installing new tail pipe clamps to properly seal the connection where the exhaust meets the J-tubes or heater boxes. The last thing you want is to create an exhaust leak during installation.

The Black Paint will Burn Off

Over time, the black paint on this exhaust system will burn off. If you want an exhaust with a durable finish consider a ceramic coated, chrome plated or stainless steel exhaust.
