Kicker Key Smart Amplifier & Digital Sound Processor - 200 Watt - 4 Channel

Ok, so it's only a 200 watt amplifier, but the Kicker Key 200-4 Smart Amplifier packs a ton of features into a small package. Sure, it's a 4 channel amplifier that puts out 50 watts at 4 Ω to all 4 channels but it's also a computerized equalizer and crossover. After the amp has been hooked up to your speakers, you can download the Kicker Test Tones, plug in the microphone, press the selector button, play the tones and let the amplifier self adjust to not only make your sound system louder, but clearer. Even more so than most other amplifiers that produce twice as much power! The internal equalizer self adjusts the crossovers, the 40 band equalizer and time aligns the speaker signals to the position of the microphone so that the sound from all 4 speakers reaches your ears at the appropriate time. Other advanced features such as Auto Compression, limit the input and light up when audio clipping is detected letting you know something is too loud, and a Bi-Amp mode powers tweeters and woofers without a passive crossover allowing only the sounds that each speaker can reproduce through. The 7 3/8 x 2 3/4 x 1 11/16" amplifier features FIT2™ (Fail Safe Integration Technology) which allows it to be used in most any car on the road.

Our Expert's Take:

We had the choice of any of Kicker's amplifiers to install in our 1971 Super Beetle build, and we installed this amplifier along with a Key 500.1 amp under the rear seat and don't regret it one bit. The compact amp can be mounted close to the battery, out of the way, out of sight, and out of mind. After we tuned the amplifier using the Kicker Test Tones and the included microphone, the amp was fully tuned and the stereo system sounds phenomenal!
