VDO Oil Pressure Sender - 150 PSI & Warning Light - 2 Post - MH10-1.0

The 2 Pole VDO Oil pressure sender threads into the VW oil pressure port and has a M10x1.0 thread size. The sending unit reads to 150 PSI for sending a signal to a separately sold VDO 150 PSI Oil Pressure gauge. The sending unit also has a contact for a warning light that turns on at roughly 11 PSI, meaning that if the oil pressure indicator light is on, your engine has less than 11 PSI of oil pressure at the switch. The oil pressure switch fits 1954 through 1979 Beetles, 1956 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1955 through 1979 Type 2 Bus models, 1962 through 1973 Type 3s, 1973 through 1974 Things and 1980 through 1983 Vanagons.

This sending unit is designed to work with 150 PSI VDO gauges only and reads from 10-180 ohms. It operates by grounding out to the engine case. The sender unit has tapered threads so PTFE tape or pipe sealant should not be used. Thread sealant will interfere with the sending units ground to the engine case.

The sending unit has two threaded posts for hooking up the sending unit to the gauge and a dash warning light. The posts are identified on the sending unit, the "G" terminal should be connected to the back of the pressure gauge, to the "S" or "G" terminal. The "WK" terminal should be connected to the negative side of the oil pressure warning light bulb.
