This is my girlfriend’s 1973 VW Thing. She first saw one in the movie 50 First Dates. Determined to find one but disappointed with amount of rust we have in Michigan cars, she looked for two years to find a 90% original paint example within driving distance of home. It’s history is incomplete but with the lack of rust and we found a sticker inside the rim where it was purchased from a dealership in California; it must have been a west coast car.

It has a 1835 with dual DCNF Webber’s 110 Eagle cam. Just drove it 228 miles round trip to a show in Toledo, OH .
