Three years ago, my 15 year old daughter wanted to learn how cars work. Well, luck would have it on my bike ride to work one day and saw someone put up a For Sale sign on a VW Bus. It was love at first sight. Just ask my daughter.

Welcome home Beatrice Big Bus Wilma, aka Beatrice. My daughter and I have lovingly made major repairs and learned how to fix and take care of cars. Our accomplishments and newly gained knowledge include: replace tie rods, steering dampener, and drag link; replace CV joints; deep clean engine and transmission; fresh oil, filter, and transmission fluid; clean and dielectric grease all major electrical connections, especially grounds, replace all fuses; clean and rebuild sliding door. A local shop installed new brake booster and ball joints.

She runs like a dream. Our maiden voyage was to go surfing in Bolinas.We have more work to do - seat covers, sun roof, rebuild stock radio, and rebuild heater system.
