This dash pad is too thick at the speedometer and the glovebox.

If you are looking for a high quality, replacement dashboard please check out our metal reinforced, replacement 1971-74 & 1976-77 Beetle and 1971-72 Super Beetle dashboard.

This dashpad will install, but it is too thick at both the speedometer and the glovebox. Neither the speedometer trim ring nor the glovebox retainer ring will fit. If you don't care about either of those things, this dash pad will work fine. If you do want the speedometer trim ring and the glovebox to install and fit properly, we recommend the metal re-inforced dash pad linked above.

We will not accept returns on this item due to poor quality, fitment, or it being "defective". We are being upfront and honest. It's cheaper than the other one for a reason and the other one is more expensive because it fits.

These are a really nice reproduction dash. They do take a bit of patience when working around the glove box area, a heat gun and silicone glue are a great help in this area. Be sure to check out our Youtube video on this!
