This Volkswagen alternator/ generator pulley fits all Type 1 Upright engines with a 12 Volt generator or alternator. The pulley fits 1967-1977 Standard Beetle, 1971-1979 Super Beetle, 1967-1974 Karmann Ghia, 1967 to 1971 Bus, and 1973-1974 Thing models. This part is made in Mexico and is the highest quality generator/alternator pulley that we offer.

Remember to always use 10 Shims.

VW Engine Pulley Shims Adjustments When installing pulley shims you must use 10 shims total to achieve proper spacing. Shims can be moved from either inside or outside.

Inside: Moving shims inside spaces pulley halves and loosens belt.

Outside: Moving shims outside closes halves together and tightens belt.
