1967-1979 Beetle & Super Beetle Headlight Wire Tubes

The VW headlight wire tubes protect the headlight wires and seal both the headlight bucket and the front trunk. The headlight wire tubes route the headlight wires from the trunk to the back of the front fender and help protect the wires from dirt, rocks, and other debris that may be kicked up by the front tires. The wire tubes are sold as a pair and fit 1968 through 1977 Standard Beetles and 1971 through 1979 Super Beetles.

Our Expert's Take:

Headlight wire tubes are notoriously tough to get installed in to the hole properly as they are a tight fit to ensure a proper water barrier. We recommend using a silicone lubricant spray, and a small flathead pocket screwdriver to work in the edges of the tube one side at a time. Start on one side and carefully work your way around the round tube while pressing the tube a bit at a time in to the hole in the body while being sure to keep the rubber lubricated.
