VW Headlight Bucket Assembly

This VW headlight bucket or headlight receiving assembly is sold individually. The headlight bucket has the 2 adjustment screws and the headlight retaining ring to hold the headlight to the bucket. The headlight bucket is mounted to the stock fender or headlight well and accepts 6 or 12 volt, 7" headlight bulbs.

Please Note

The old saying of "They don't make them like they used too!" holds true with these buckets. The mounting area where the headlight sits isn't "keyed" like original so the headlight doesn't have a set place to sit. Our best advice is to first mount the headlight bucket in the fender, typically with one of the adjustment screws at the top. Mark the top of the bucket and use that as a reference to align the top of the headlight bulb. With the bulb lined up with the top of the assembly, align the chrome retaining ring with it's three screws, install all the screws loosely, then tighten them down to hold the headlight bulb in place.

Troubleshooting

These aftermarket headlight buckets do not match OEM quality, but since original replacements are no longer available, they can be made to work with minor modifications. If your headlights do not bolt in correctly, try the following fixes:
