Front Passenger Side Fender for 1971-1973 VW Super Beetle

This brand new replacement front fender includes cut-outs for the turn signal and bumper bracket, and is compatible with 1967 and later "Bucket-Style" headlight assemblies. 1971 through 73 Fenders have tall Bumper Brackets slots on inner corners. Super Beetle fenders are different than Standard Beetles as the front inner lip curves inwards at the bottom.

Notes on Sheet Metal:

Virtually all sheet metal parts are sent with a black, sprayed-on, rust inhibitor. This is NOT a paint or a primer. The black paint that comes on most sheet metal items must be removed before applying primer to the sheet metal.
Expect scratches, minor dents, dings, and imperfections. These are considered normal. You will likely have to perform minor body work on any aftermarket sheet metal during the installation and restoration process. This is a universal issue across the entire classic car industry due to the nature of the product.
Large dents would be considered excessive damage. All sheet metal is carefully inspected prior to shipping for any major dents. Any sheet metal that is received dented must be presented to the shipping carrier for a damage claim, regardless of the condition of the box.
Test fit the all sheet metal before painting. Once body work or paint work has been done to any sheet metal item, it can't be returned! There are no exceptions!

Test fit the fender before painting!
Previous accidents and body work can cause poor fitment of new sheet metal items. It is very important to test fit the fender before painting it. This will allow any necessary body work to either the body or the fender to be done BEFORE it is painted.

Once body work or paint work has been done to any sheet metal item, it can't be returned!

There are no exceptions! If after test fitting you feel the fender will not fit, DO NOT MODIFY IT. Once body work or paint work has been started, the fender can not be returned!

Install the headlights / turn signals / tail lights and fenders to ensure that everything fits correctly before painting. It is much easier to check the correct alignment before the fender is painted than afterwards.

NOTE: All sheet metal parts are sent with a black, sprayed, rust inhibitor. This is NOT paint or a primer. It must be removed prior to applying primer to the sheet metal.

This includes fenders, floor pans, aprons, deck lids ETC. Because this material is not a primer, it is not unusual for scratches to be found in this material. This does not affect the sheet metal as this material MUST BE REMOVED, thus also removing any scratches in the process. Of course dents would be considered excessive. All sheet metal is carefully inspected prior to shipping for dents. Any sheet metal that is received dented must be presented to the shipping carrier for a damage claim, REGARDLESS OF THE CONDITION OF THE BOX.
