EMPI Rear Conversion Bumper Brackets for VW Beetle

Adapts early Type 1 blade bumpers to late model Beetles
Bolts directly to stock rear bumper mounts
Powder coated satin black and sold as a pair

EMPI’s rear conversion bumper brackets allow you to mount early Type 1 (1954–1967 Beetle) blade bumpers onto a 1968–1973 Standard Beetle. These brackets bolt to the stock rear bumper mount and taper down to fit through the fender like the early-style brackets. They are powder coated in a satin black finish and are sold as a pair. These brackets are designed specifically for blade bumpers and are not recommended for use with over-rider bumpers, as they do not provide support for the over-rider bars.

Note: These conversion bumper brackets do not fit Super Beetle models.
