22.2mm(7/8")Internal Diameter (Bore Size) Wheel Cylinder

VW Rear Wheel Cylinders are bolted to the backing plate inside the rear brake drum and connect to the master cylinder with hydraulic hoses and brake lines. The wheel cylinders use hydraulic pressure to push the brake shoes into the brake drums through pistons inside the cylinders to stop the brake drum from spinning. The Rear Wheel Cylinder fits 1964 through 1973 Type 3s. The wheel cylinders are made in Italy, sold individually and fit the rear left or right side.
