1962-1971 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and Type 3 Stock Black Steering Wheel

  • This is the best quality, stock black steering wheel available

Our black, stock replacement Volkswagen steering wheel comes with a chrome horn ring with horn wire ground screw and tab, a Wolfsburg Crest horn button, horn ring mounting kit with screws and washers, and a 1962 to 1970 cancellation ring with mounting hardware. The wheel can be used on 1971 models, but the included cancellation ring must be removed and a 1971 and later ring (sold separately) must be installed for the horn to operate. The steering wheel is an excellent reproduction of the original VW steering wheel and is made with high quality German resin for durability, strength and good looks that will last. The wheel is an exact match to the 1962-1963 OEM steering wheels that have notches for the horn ring and will fit 1962-1971 Beetles, Karmann Ghias and Type 3 Squarebacks, Notchbacks and Fastbacks.



Please Note: The steering wheel will fit early 1971 models with a wiper switch on the dash. If your wiper switch is on the steering column, this wheel will not fit. The steering wheel comes with an early model cancellation ring that needs to be removed and replaced with a 1971 and later horn contact cancellation ring. You can re-use your original, or add one using the additional options tab above.
