PerTronix Ignitor Ignition Kit - for some Stock Bosch Distributors - 12 Volt

The PerTronix Ignitor ignition kit is a drop in points replacement kit for Bosch distributors (which use the 03010 cap) that eliminates the old points and condenser. Convert your compatible Bosch distributor to an electronic ignition for worry free ignition and get an increase in spark voltage, performance and economy. The Ignitor Ignition module requires the use of a coil with 3 to 4.2 ohms of internal resistance. Pertronix recommends the 40611 or PT40501 coil, available separately in the Additional Options tab above.

Electronic ignitions and distributors are not compatible with original Fuel Injected engines.

Note, Suppression or Spiral wound spark plug wires must be used with the Ignitor, solid core plug wires will cause electronic interference!

A coil with 3 to 4.2 ohms of resistance is required with the Pertronix Ignitor Ignition Module.

On some original distributors, it will be necessary to file down the bottom side of the rotor to clear the magnetic pick up.
