The Beru 12 Volt Blue Oil Filled Coil is a high quality, internally resisted 3 ohm coil. It is perfect for everything from the stock ignition with points or for an electronic drop in ignition module. The 12 volt coil is a direct replacement for 1967 through 1979 Standard and Super Beetles, 1967 through 1974 Karmann Ghias, 1967 through 1979 Type 2 Bus models, 1967 through 1973 Type 3 Squarebacks, Fastbacks, Notchbacks and 1973 through 1974 Things.
The BERU coil performs better than the Bosch 00012 and you can buy a brand new clamp and spark plug wires for less money than the Bosch option. This product is a better product that costs less money, it just doesn't say Bosch.
This coil does NOT come with a clamp included. We recommend adding billet aluminum coil clamp if you don't already have one. In addition, if you are replacing your coil, don't forget new spark plug wires. The EMPI 98-9925-B are the best spark plug wires available. They are better than the Bosch ones and it's not close. These are the wires we put on our project cars.
